Persona Pilates FAQ
-
Persona Pilates is a personalized group fitness studio built on the belief that every person has their own unique "persona." By adapting every workout to align with that persona, we help every client optimize their results.
We offer a proprietary Persona-lized Assessment that gives instructors custom data about your fitness goals before every class. Even if you have never trained with that instructor before, it feels like she has taught you a thousand times.
How is Persona Pilates different from other Pilates studios?
Most Pilates studios offer a generic, one-size-fits-all class experience. At Persona Pilates, we rebuilt every major system — from instructor training to equipment, to break free from that generic model. Our proprietary training portal, custom CRM, and partnership with Maven equipment manufacturer allow us to deliver a truly personalized experience at scale.
Are you a Lagree Studio?
No, we are not a Lagree studio. We have developed our own unique approach to fitness and strength training that is distinct from the Lagree method.

What should I know before my first Pilates class?
We want your first class to be a great one. Here is everything you need to prepare:
Arrive early: Please arrive minutes before your first class to check in, meet your instructor, and get oriented.
Grip socks are required: For safety and sanitary reasons, grip socks must be worn in all
classes at all our studios. These can often be purchased at the front desk.
Bring water: Stay hydrated throughout class.
Wear comfortable clothes: Choose activewear that allows you to move freely through
a full range of motion.
Download the app: We recommend downloading the Persona Pilates app before your visit to manage bookings and receive notifications.
Do I need to be in shape or flexible before starting Pilates?
Not at all. Pilates is designed to meet you exactly where you are. Our instructors receive your Persona Survey data before class and will modify your routine to suit your current fitness level, goals, and physical needs. You do not need to prepare yourself for Pilates.
Is Persona Pilates good for beginners?
Absolutely. Our classes welcome all experience levels. Instructors provide hands-on corrections and personalized cues throughout every session, so first-timers feel guided and supported from the very first move.
Can I just walk in and take a class?
You are welcome to walk up and check for available spots, but we strongly recommend downloading our app and reserving your spot in advance. Classes fill up quickly, and booking ahead guarantees your place.
-
What should I wear to Pilates?
Wear comfortable, fitted activewear that allows you to move easily and through a full range of motion. Fitted clothing also helps instructors observe and correct your alignment during class.
Are grip socks required?
Yes. Grip socks are required at all Persona Pilates studios for safety and sanitary reasons. If you do not have a pair, pairs will be available for purchase at the studio.
What amenities are available at the studio?
We have cubbies at all our studios where you can store your personal belongings during class. While we do not have showers, we do provide essential toiletries and amenities so you can freshen up and change after your workout.
What is the age requirement for classes?
Clients must be 14 years of age or older to attend class. If you are under 18, a signed waiver from a parent or guardian is required before your first session.
-
How do I book a Persona Pilates class?
The easiest way to book is through the Persona Pilates app. Download it, create an account, and reserve your spot ahead of time. You can also book a class via web or walk up to the studio to check for available spots, though booking in advance is strongly recommended.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3-5 days in advance for peak class times to ensure you get your preferred spot.
What happens if I am running late to class?
If you are running late, please text your city's studio line as soon as possible. If you are not present when class begins and there is a client on the waitlist, your spot may be given away. You will be marked as a no-show and fees will apply.
How does the waitlist work?
When a class is full, you can join the waitlist through the Persona Pilates app. Notifications are sent via email and text through Recess, so please keep your account contact information current.
When does the waitlist stop adding people to class?
The auto-fill period ends minutes before the scheduled class time. If you are on the waitlist after that cutoff, you will not be automatically added.
What if I am on multiple waitlists on the same day?
If you sign up for multiple waitlisted classes on the same day, you are responsible for each class you are added to. Please monitor your waitlist position and cancel any unwanted reservations to avoid charges.
What if I am waitlisted for an early morning class?
If you are unsure whether you will attend if your spot opens, please remove yourself from the waitlist the night before to avoid being charged.
